Happy Pie and Beer Day
What would our states holiday be with out pie and beer? Lots of fun hanging out with the family and learning about pioneers. We didn't have any pie and the closest we got to beer was the budwiser horses we saw in the parade. We did go out to the fort and learn a bunch of pioneer craft skills. When we first arrived at the fort things didn't look like much was going on. We headed in and went tot he stage where the Hales Family was playing music. It was fun to sit and listen. The youngest memeber of the family stole the show. He was 4 and had a shaker that he was in charge of. It was lots of fun watching him. A few times he didn't look to be that interested in what his other family members were doing. After a bit Sky and I headed out to look at the boats on the water. There were a few canoes out and Sky was very interested in the boats. Then he saw the big group of BIG trees. We headed over to climb them. Sky & M climbed so high and we picked a leaf for Grandpa. Then we spottedt he Root Beer Man. We headed out and got root beers. Sky wins the guzzeling contest. We petted goats, sheep, lambs, made wool, learned how to milk, weave, and had a great time. The line for the boats was so long we opted out of it but some day we will go back and ride in the canoe.
